ABOUT THE CLASS
The framework of this class is quite simple . . . the students arrive at 7:10, ready to move. Due to the nature of the class, all students are first expected to warm-up their muscles by completing a designated run around the gymnasium, followed by a quick stretching routine. Students in grades K-2 will then participate in a game-based activity that is highlighted with a fitness theme. Students in grades 3-5 will also begin their activity following the warm-up; however, their experience will be strictly fitness-based. These students will transition through a fitness circuit that is comprised with a variety of high-tempo, fast-paced, exercises. At the end of the activity, the entire class will complete a transitional cool-down period before exiting the gym and walking to their classrooms.
PLEASE NOTE: This class starts promptly at 7:10, therefore, we ask that participating students please be on time. Although we wish that all of our students could engage in this beneficial outlet, we are unable to cater to students who arrive via school bus. Properly warming-up before any physical activity is very important, and essential for a safe and rewarding experience.
